Some more terrain from custom heightmap

I might update this post with more terrain pics as I build the terrain.

I already have a few levels created but not fully filled out with props and other game elements. I'm taking my time and getting things done as I get to them.

Merged two projects and couldn't get 3D models to show

After getting through the menu screen coding and merging it with another project, I was unable to get the 3D model to show and the camera view was to high from the 'ground' (heightmap).

The heightmap was fine so I couldn't understand why the 3d model wouldn't show.

So I went and decided to ask over at the XNA forums.  I hope they get back to me soon.

First time I've encountered this error for a mesh...

While adding some art assets to my content pipeline, I ran into an error that I haven't seen before.

My guess off the top of my head is that since this mesh was created without skeleton data and has a 'Weights vertex channel' then its causing the error since it doesn't have 'access to the skeleton data'. However, this doesn't explain why the error isn't present on other similar meshes that have been created without a skeleton. I haven't had this issue come up before with any other fbx files in my entire project so I'm curious what is causing this error. I guess I'll learn more after I investigate.

Introduction to my software development and game design site (Repost from my wordpress site)

Greetings and welcome to my site!!

Hopefully, this site will help attract or inspire others or perhaps at the very least have something you find interesting!

Just to get the introductions out of the way, I am an independent game designer, software developer, graphic designer/digital artist (not by choice) and storywriter that is creating 3D games and a few other minor pieces of software for the Windows Phone, Xbox360 and Windows PC (looking into Playstation game development). I am currently working in lame brain Corporate America for an international Computer manufactoring company and I am now breaking free of the mindless nonsense I see everyday. I have been involved in programming since I was in middle school and I really enjoy it therefore I will keep at it and learn new software development techniques to help me make really cool games.

Now since that's out of the way, I'm going to start posting things on this site that I'm either working on, like something else someone else is working on or any other various things that might interest me but will be related to either gaming in general, 3D modelling/texturing/etc., digital art, programming or game development.

Hopefully in the near future I can post some of my game art, 3d models and topics relating to game/software development that I write in Visual C# or other related topics that may be valuable

 and/or interesting.

Please enjoy my site and feel free to ask me about anything that is posted here!
